Sustaintability  Environmental Responsibility 
MAHLE Metal Leve is committed to environmental issues, puts forth efforts and investments on the continuous and significant improvement of its activities. The Environmental Management System (SGA) certification through NBR ISO 14001 standard, together with the multidisciplinary team of professionals from the environmental, chemical, production, forest and civil engineering areas, biological sciences and economy and under corporate coordination has been implementing the system with important legal, normative and specially social-environmental requisites.In this sense, MAHLE Metal Leve participates in the environmental education in schools of the municipal system, carries out awareness campaigns as to the use of natural resources and as to waste recycling, supports preservation initiatives of wild animal species and of Environmental Protection Areas. Furthermore, 460 tons per year of materials obtained with the selective collection in its manufacturing facilities – paper, cardboards, plastics, wood and printing cartridges – support social programs coordinated by the Human Resources and Environmental departments. MAHLE Metal Leve has also been able to expand its environmental requisites to suppliers, for it believes that the chain results contribute more efficiently to the environment. The integrated SGA also elaborates a continuous training and informational program to its collaborators regarding global environmental themes, among which, climatic changes, pollution of water and air, the preservation of biodiversity, the need of awareness as to the use of natural resources and waste recycling. Such actions represent our responsibility and commitment towards the need of a better and sustainable environment.
